Overview:
In the Nurse Technician Observer Float System Wide setup, individuals work alongside Registered Nurses to monitor and document patient conditions, offering necessary assistance. They play a vital role in supporting patient mobility and aiding in daily tasks as needed. The primary responsibility revolves around creating a safe environment for patients who may be prone to self-harm.
Responsibilities:
- Aiding individuals with their daily living needs, such as meals, personal hygiene, and enhancing mobility to bolster recovery and care blueprint adherence.
- Evaluates patient quality of life in relation to nutrition, hydration, and excretion to effectively distribute resources and prepare for patient demands.
- Confirms, transitions, and releases individuals to appropriately transport them to the designated places as per the care plan.
- Delivers care that addresses patient elimination needs through tasks like ostomy care, enemas, and condom catheter assistance to promote patient comfort.
- Helps in overseeing unit inventories of supplies and equipment to sustain a hygienic and safe environment in adherence to the National Patient Safety Goals.
- Verifies that patients with a high risk of falling have been outfitted with the appropriate arm bands, socks, and warnings to ensure their physical safety.
- Handles additional tasks as designated.

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:
Nurse Aide I, BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
