A Registered Nurse (RN) Lactation Consultant plays a key role in promoting breastfeeding, tracking patient advancements, and following proven lactation methods. This position involves overseeing tasks and procedures in the lactation consulting department independently and offering advice to the organization regarding breastfeeding assistance.
Responsibilities:
Evaluates breastfeeding support programs to guarantee they cater to the requirements of both mothers and infants effectively.
Creates educational resources aimed at improving the results of breastfeeding.
Utilizes expertise in breastfeeding methods to offer guidance and assistance to both individuals and groups.
Consults with senior leadership when necessary to guarantee efficient breastfeeding support initiatives.
Coordinates projects in the lactation team to ensure the success of breastfeeding programs and promote a family-focused approach to healthcare.
Carries out additional tasks as requested.
