Essential Job Function
- Administers comprehensive patient assessments, examines their past medical background, and interprets the outcomes of diagnostic procedures to offer suitable treatment plans.
- Administers preventive health assessments according to the patient's age, medical history, and distinct health considerations.
- Offers education to patients and their loved ones on specialty medical issues, therapies, and ongoing care needs.
- Records all medical care given to patients to guarantee the accuracy of their medical records.
- Carries out particular medical interventions based on departmental standards and clinical duties within hospital facilities.
- Improves inpatient specialty care by analyzing, troubleshooting, and assessing clinical and systemic concerns.
- Executes any other responsibilities as directed.
Education
- Required: Master Degree Nursing or Master Degree Physician Assistant studies. Physician Assistant employed at Cone Health prior to October 14, 2024 with a Bachelor Degree will have the Master Degree requirement waived provided they have maintained employment and PA licensure with Board Certification.
Experience
- Required: none Preferred: 3+ years
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required:Valid NC RN and Nurse Midwife or NP license OR NC PA licenseBoard Certified within 1 year of date of hire by either the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) for PA's OR the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the National Certification Corporation (NCC) for NP's OR the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) or The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB)BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare ProviderNeonatal Resuscitation Protocol (NRP) Certification required for Neonatal Advanced Practice ProvidersIVC Certified within 90 days of employment for Behavorial Health Advance Practice Provider
