Overview:
Summary:
The Triad Hospitalist is responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients at Cone Health and fulfilling various clinical duties.
Responsibilities:
Include offering coordination services to various teams within the organization, mentoring Cone Health residents and students, exercising independent judgment in diagnosing and treating patients, devising treatment plans, and supervising the interdisciplinary team (comprising advanced practice providers) in meeting patient care objectives. Demonstrating and adhering to the professional standards of MCHS, such as the Medical Staff By-Laws, Service Excellence commitments, practice guidelines, physician expectations, and professional appearance guidelines. Involvement in medical audits, quality enhancement initiatives, investigations, peer evaluations, and other inquiries related to the quality of care. Embracing continuous enhancement and the application of evidence-based approaches to strive towards superior healthcare delivery and service excellence (aiming for outcomes ranking in the 90th percentile or higher). Maintaining accurate records in compliance with MCHS policies, relevant legislation, and regulations. Collaborating in the creation of clinical protocols, procedures, initiatives, and offering suggestions to enhance care quality and effectiveness. Sharing designated on-call duties with other physicians within the assigned areas when required.
Qualifications:
Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. North Carolina Medical License. North Carolina Drug Enforcement Administration License.
