Overview:
In the healthcare sector, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-caliber patient care and ensuring favorable patient outcomes through the application of nursing knowledge with compassion and effectiveness. This role operates under general supervision to promote professional nursing practice by coordinating patient care through the nursing process and multidisciplinary teamwork.
Responsibilities:
- Reviews patient needs and current health conditions within the assigned area to provide direct nursing care tailored to individual requirements.
- Scrutinizes patient information, such as medical history, diagnostic findings, and present state, to devise personalized nursing care plans.
- Reviews medical documents to verify precision and adherence to regulatory guidelines and internal protocols.
- Evaluates how patients respond to interventions and identifies any further steps required to achieve the defined care goals.
- Partners with an interdisciplinary team to deliver well-coordinated care plans.
- Carries out other tasks as designated.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:
- Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
- BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
