Overview:
The role of the Registered Nurse (RN) involves delivering quality patient care and ensuring positive patient outcomes by applying nursing knowledge in a compassionate and efficient manner. Working under broad supervision, this position promotes professional nursing practice by organizing patient care through the nursing process and collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Assesses patient requirements and health status in the designated department to deliver appropriate nursing care, guaranteeing each patient receives the necessary attention.
- Scrutinizes patient records, which include medical history, diagnostic results, and current state, to develop personalized nursing care plans.
- Prepares nursing procedures, like dispensing medication and therapies, to deliver thorough and efficient patient care.
- Validates medical files for accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards as well as internal policies.
- Assesses the patient's reaction to treatments and recognizes the requirement for further interventions to achieve established care objectives.
- Works collectively with a diverse care team to facilitate comprehensive care planning.
- Carries out additional tasks as required.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:
- Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
- BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
