Job Description
The Clinical Pharmacist III Ambulatory Retail Specialty fulfills patient care responsibilities within a specific ambulatory or community pharmacy sector, under supervision that is neither too strict nor too lenient. They engage with healthcare providers, pharmacy colleagues, and may have supervisory duties over patient advocates and pharmacy technicians.
Essential Job Function:
- Follows and understands the physician's orders to deliver the proper care to the designated individual.
- Supports healthcare professionals, patients, and the general public by delivering and supervising drug use and medication-related data.
- Directs and judges the work of pharmacy technicians.
- Provides advice to scholars and fellows.
- Functions with an increased level of expertise and skill, devoting the majority of time to resolving intricate situations or driving improvements in projects.
- Completes other tasks as given.
Education:
- Required: Doctor of Pharmacy or BS Pharm.
Experience:
- Required: 6 years
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Registered Pharmacist in NC within 60 days of hire. BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider BCPS or Board Certification in a specialty area.
