Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers high-quality patient care and ensures positive patient outcomes through the compassionate and efficient application of nursing knowledge. Working under general supervision, this role promotes professional nursing practice by coordinating patient care through the nursing process and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Essential Job Function:
- Evaluates patient requirements within the unit to ensure the provision of direct and suitable nursing care.
- Reviews patient files, such as medical histories, diagnostic tests, and current well-being, to establish tailored nursing care outlines.
- Executes nursing duties such as medication administration and treatments to ensure comprehensive and efficient patient care.
- Validates medical information to ensure it complies with regulatory standards and internal protocols.
- Assesses how the patient is responding to implemented interventions and identifies any further measures needed to meet the defined goals of care.
- Engages in collaboration with a diverse care team to ensure comprehensive care planning.
- Completes additional tasks as deemed necessary.
Education
- Required: Associate's Degree in NursingPreferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Experience
- Required: 1 year as a Registered NursePreferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required:Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact stateBLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
