Job Description
Responsibilities:
Carries out physical assessments on patients during outpatient visits, assesses their healthcare history, and interprets diagnostic findings to determine the most suitable course of action for treatment.
Carries out proactive health screenings customized to the patient's age, medical past, and individual health necessities.
Offers guidance to patients and their families on understanding medical ailments, therapies, and post-treatment monitoring.
Manages patient care records across primary care settings to maintain the correctness of patient backgrounds.
Executes clinical tasks based on the regulations and role requirements of the department within settings for outpatient services.
Identifies approaches for boosting outpatient care by evaluating, solving problems, and assessing clinical and system-related issues.
Undertakes supplementary duties as needed.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required:
Master Degree Nursing or Master Degree Physician Assistant studies. Physician Assistant employed at Cone Health prior to October 14, 2024 with a Bachelor Degree will have the Master Degree requirement waived provided they have maintained employment and PA licensure with Board Certification.
EXPERIENCE:
Required: None
Preferred: 3+ years
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:
Valid NC RN and Nurse Midwife or NP license OR NC PA license
Board Certified within 1 year of date of hire by either the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) for PA's OR the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the National Certification Corporation (NCC) for NP's OR the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) or The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB)
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
Neonatal Resuscitation Protocol (NRP) Certification required for Neonatal Advanced Practice Providers
IVC Certified within 90 days of employment for Behavorial Health Advance Practice Provider
