Job Description
The Registered Nurse plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and achieving favorable patient results by applying nursing expertise with compassion and effectiveness while working under broad supervision. This position supports the advancement of professional nursing practice by coordinating patient care through the integration of the nursing process and collaboration with various medical professionals.
Essential Job Function:
- Assesses the needs and medical conditions of patients within the assigned unit in order to administer personalized nursing care that meets the unique requirements of each individual.
- Evaluates patient details, encompassing medical background, test outcomes, and existing health status, to formulate customized nursing care strategies.
- - Executes nursing protocols, such as dispensing medications and implementing treatments, to deliver inclusive and impactful patient care.
- Verifies medical documentation to meet regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
- Examining the way patients respond to interventions and recognizing the necessity for additional interventions to fulfill established care goals.
- Engages in cooperative efforts with a variety of disciplines to optimize care planning.
- Executes any other assigned responsibilities.
Education:
- Required: Associate degree in nursing.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing.
Experience:
- Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse.
- Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
