Job Description
Overview:
The core responsibility of the Registered Nurse (RN) involves providing excellent patient care and securing positive patient outcomes by skillfully applying nursing knowledge with compassion and efficiency. With general supervision, this position supports professional nursing practice by coordinating patient care through the nursing process and partnership with other disciplines.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluates the needs and conditions of patients in the designated unit to ensure that each patient receives the necessary and proper nursing care.
- Reviews patient information, comprising medical history, test findings, and existing condition, to establish individualized nursing care blueprints.
- Engages in nursing processes like medication distribution and treatments to deliver broad and efficient patient care.
- Validates the compliance and accuracy of medical records by reconciling them to meet regulatory standards and internal guidelines.
- Assessing patient feedback to interventions and identifying any further steps required to reach the intended care outcomes.
- Joins forces with an interdisciplinary team of caregivers to enhance care plan effectiveness.
- Undertakes any additional duties as instructed.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:
Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
