Job Description
Overview:
The Psychiatric Physician at Cone Health has the opportunity to work in different clinical environments, such as inpatient, outpatient, or hybrid settings, on a full-time, part-time, or relief basis. They may be stationed at a variety of facilities within the Cone Health network, including the Behavioral Health Hospital, Behavioral Health Unit Crisis Center, and outpatient sites in Greensboro, Kernersville, Reidsville, and Burlington. Responsibilities of the Cone Health Psychiatrist include delivering high-quality patient care and fulfilling all clinical duties required of them.
Responsibilities:
Offering team coordination services to designated areas from various disciplines. Mentoring Cone Health psychiatry residents and other students when required. Utilizing independent judgment in diagnosing and treating patients, creating treatment plans, and guiding the interdisciplinary team (advanced practice providers) to fulfill patient care plan objectives. Demonstrating and enforcing the professional standards of MCHS, following the Medical Staff By-Laws, Service Excellence promises, practice guidelines, physician expectations, and professional appearance standards. Taking part in medical audits, quality enhancement initiatives, investigations, peer assessments, and other evaluations related to professional care standards. Striving for continuous enhancements and adopting evidence-based methodologies to advance healthcare and services (aiming for outcomes above the 90th percentile). Maintaining records as per MCHS policies, relevant laws, and regulations. Engaging in devising clinical guidelines, procedures, programs, and suggesting enhancements to enhance care quality and efficiency. Sharing designated on-call duties when needed with other physicians in the assigned regions.
Qualifications:
Board certification in Psychiatry (Fellowship training for child-adolescent). North Carolina Medical License. North Carolina Drug Enforcement Administration License.
