Overview:
Assisting the Registered Nurse, the Nursing Technician I observes and records patient conditions. With close supervision, this role supports patients with mobility improvement and daily task assistance.
This position is currently listed as full time nights including weekend rotation. We are also open to weekend nights only (Saturday & Sunday).
Responsibilities:
Assists individuals with daily living functions such as meal support, personal grooming, and gradual advancement in mobility to help facilitate recovery and care management.
Evaluates patient's satisfaction levels concerning their diet, fluid intake, and waste management to allocate resources accordingly and anticipate future patient needs.
Assigns nursing professionals to patients considering their individual competencies and training, aligning clinical staff with the needs of patients for better care outcomes.
Helps with clinical procedures, such as monitoring glucose levels, recording vital signs, obtaining EKG readings, applying restraints, and attending to elimination needs to ensure patients receive care that prioritizes their comfort.
Assists in the supervision of unit inventories for supplies and medical equipment to uphold a clean and safe environment in adherence to the National Patient Safety Goals.
Confirms that patients who are at risk of falling have the proper wristbands, socks, and signs to guarantee their physical safety.
Facilitates the recording of all clinical activities, patient communications, and medication intake to preserve a comprehensive patient history.
Responds promptly to delegation from registered nurse staff and shares patient observations to ensure efficient collaboration.
Completes supplementary assignments as designated.

Certification required by State of North Carolina DHHR. Nurse Aide Certification required. BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
