Overview:
This position involves ensuring that the highest professional and regulatory standards are met while demonstrating excellent decision-making skills. The role requires close collaboration with Radiology management, medical staff, and radiologists to provide a cost-effective and patient-focused service.
Responsibilities:
Administers routine and specialized exams in line with established protocols, minimizing the requirement for further imaging and limiting radiation exposure to levels as low as reasonably achievable. Performs in accordance with exam productivity benchmarks.
Deals with any mistakes and manages to resolve issues associated with the final product transferred to PACS.
Demonstrates unwavering dedication to upholding safe practices and fostering a Just Culture. Utilizes the Two for Two system to identify patients accurately and consistently prioritizes following procedures to prevent laterality errors, falls, and reduce radiation exposure risks (ALARA principle) in all aspects of work.
The T in AIDET stands for thank you, where healthcare providers show gratitude towards patients for choosing their services. By saying thank you, healthcare providers demonstrate their appreciation for the opportunity to serve patients' health needs.
Assists with the transfer of patients for medical procedures and exams.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, one needs to possess a High School Diploma or a similar certification
Someone who has gone through the necessary coursework and practical training in radiology, imaging or an equivalent program.
EXPERIENCE:
This job opening mandates one to possess a minimum of up to 1-year experience in Diagnostic/CT Technology
Prior experience working as a Diagnostic/CT Tech for a span of 1-2 years is preferred for this position
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED:
Both the American Red Cross and AHA Healthcare Provider courses teach the same skills for performing BLS, such as chest compressions, rescue breathing, and the use of AEDs
Licenses That Are Eligible for Consideration:
ARRT: RT(R)(CT), RT(N)(CT)
NMTCB: CNMT, NMTCB(CT)
The integration of ARRT RT(N) and NMTCB(CT) is expected to result in better patient outcomes

CNMT and ARRT(CT)
OR
Both the ARRT RT(R) and NMTCB(CT) credentials open up a wide variety of career opportunities in hospitals, clinics, and imaging centers
OR
Holding an ARRT RT(T) or NMTCB(CT) certification can enhance a technologist's career opportunities and earning potential, as these certifications demonstrate advanced knowledge and skills in specialized imaging modalities
Having and maintaining one of the stated qualifications is obligatory.
