Overview:
In the Registered Nurse RN Float capacity, individuals must be prepared to deliver nursing assistance flexibly across multiple units and departments when necessary. By demonstrating flexibility, this position works alongside diverse healthcare teams to provide thorough patient care, facilitating smooth handovers and upholding consistent standards of excellence in various clinical contexts.
Responsibilities:
Flawlessly moves between different units and departments in nursing, providing all-encompassing care and assistance for a variety of medical needs.
Participates in partnerships with interdisciplinary colleagues, physicians, and auxiliary staff to provide patient-centered care and enhance communication across various units.
Conducts comprehensive assessments of patients' conditions and needs, personalizing care plans based on individual diagnoses and medical backgrounds.
Actively engages in emergencies and critical situations, offering immediate nursing care and assistance to stabilize patients in urgent need.
Supports in arranging patient placements, admissions, and transfers by applying knowledge of bed distribution and capacity management to maintain optimal patient movement within the healthcare setting.
Performs supplemental responsibilities as required.

Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state

If working in a critical care area, ACLS-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider is required.
