Job Description
Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides excellent patient care and ensures positive patient outcomes by utilizing nursing knowledge with compassion and effectiveness. Operating under general supervision, this position fosters professional nursing practice by coordinating patient care through the nursing process and collaboration with diverse disciplines.
Responsibilities:
Assesses patient needs and health statuses in the designated unit to provide personalized nursing assistance that meets the specific requirements of each patient.
Assesses patient data, encompassing medical records, test findings, and ongoing health condition, to devise customized nursing care strategies.
Plans nursing interventions, such as medication administration and treatments, to deliver comprehensive and proficient patient assistance.
Confirms the accuracy and compliance of medical documentation with regulations and organizational guidelines.
Assessing the patient's reaction to interventions and determining any extra interventions required to meet the defined care objectives.
Engages with an interdisciplinary team approach to enhance the effectiveness of care planning.
Completes tasks as directed.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- 1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred:
- 1 year of clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Required:
Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
