Job Description
Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides excellent patient care and ensures positive patient outcomes by utilizing nursing knowledge with compassion and effectiveness. Operating under general supervision, this position fosters professional nursing practice by coordinating patient care through the nursing process and collaboration with diverse disciplines.
Responsibilities:
Evaluates the needs and health status of patients within the assigned area to administer tailored nursing care to fulfill their requirements effectively.
Studies patient information, which includes past medical records, test outcomes, and existing health status, to develop individualized nursing care plans.
Plans nursing interventions, such as medication administration and treatments, to deliver comprehensive and proficient patient assistance.
Aligns medical records with regulatory standards and internal policies to guarantee accuracy.
Reviewing the patient's reaction to treatments and recognizing the necessity for additional interventions to accomplish the defined care goals.
Cooperates with a team of professionals from various disciplines to enhance care planning effectiveness.
Completes tasks as directed.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- 1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred:
- 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Required:
Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
