Cardiographic Technologist Certified

Cardiographic Technologist Certified performs a range of cardiovascular diagnostic test including routine and stat Electrocardiograms (ECGs), nuclear stress tests, exercise stress tests, and stress echocardiograms. This role is responsible for accurately preparing and editing test results using MUSE for distribution. The position delivers exceptional customer service through prioritization of patient safety, preferences, and effective communication. The role partners with patients, families, colleagues, and external stakeholders to deliver accurate cardiac diagnostics, patient-centered care, and optimal outcomes.

Essential Job Function:

• Timely and precise reporting of ECG findings is crucial for delivering high-quality diagnostic data essential for prompt patient treatment.
• Undertakes supervised cardiovascular assessments to offer crucial diagnostic data for physicians to analyze and plan treatments.
• Ensures timely distribution of ECG and exercise ECG test results by proficiently preparing and reviewing them for relevant divisions and physicians to make informed decisions.
• Coordinates ECG charge input and verification across the healthcare system to maintain billing accuracy and financial integrity.
• Carries out quality assurance methods to sustain the trustworthiness and consistency of laboratory tasks and processes with the aim of enhancing the standard of healthcare services delivered.
• Maintains and operates testing equipment to uphold its functionality and safety standards for precise diagnostic procedures.
• Stays current on BLS and ACLS certification to guarantee readiness for addressing emergency incidents in the cardiac care setting.
• With appropriate training and a display of skill competency, the person is capable of conducting IV insertions and retaining their IV skills on a yearly basis.
• Executes any other responsibilities as delegated.

Education

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Required: 1 year, Healthcare - Allied Health

Licensure/Certification/Listing

• Required:Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI); or Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP) by American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM)BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider ACLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider within 6 months of hire
