Job Description

Essential Job Function:
- Engages in physical examinations of individuals in an ambulatory facility, evaluates their health records, and analyzes the results of medical tests to offer necessary treatments for the patients well-being.
- Conducts proactive health screenings based on the patient's age, medical history, and specific requirements to ensure preventive healthcare measures are in place.
- Shares insights with patients and their families concerning health conditions, treatment plans, and ongoing support.
- Manages the documentation of patient care across primary healthcare centers to guarantee the correctness of patient histories.
- Conducts medical interventions based on the departmental protocols and clinical obligations within outpatient healthcare setups.
- Determines avenues to enhance outpatient treatment through the analysis, solution-finding, and appraisal of clinical and systemic matters.
- Undertakes supplementary obligations as assigned.
Education
- Required: Master Degree Nursing or Master Degree Physician Assistant studies. Physician Assistant employed at Cone Health prior to October 14, 2024 with a Bachelor Degree will have the Master Degree requirement waived provided they have maintained employment and PA licensure with Board Certification.

Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required:Valid NC RN and Nurse Midwife or NP license OR NC PA licenseBoard Certified within 1 year of date of hire by either the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) for PA's OR the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the National Certification Corporation (NCC) for NP's OR the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) or The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB)BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare ProviderNeonatal Resuscitation Protocol (NRP) Certification required for Neonatal Advanced Practice ProvidersIVC Certified within 90 days of employment for Behavorial Health Advance Practice Provider
