Job Description
Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is tasked with delivering excellent patient care and ensuring successful patient outcomes through the compassionate and proficient application of nursing expertise. Under general supervision, this position promotes professional nursing practice by coordinating patient care through the nursing process and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluates the needs and health conditions of patients on the assigned unit to deliver nursing care that is personalized and directly addresses the unique requirements of each patient.
- Assimilates patient data, encompassing medical records, test outcomes, and existing health state, to forge personalized nursing care schemes.
- Carries out nursing tasks, such as medication dispensing and interventions, to provide comprehensive and impactful patient care.
- Synchronizes health documents to ensure accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards and organizational procedures.
- Reviews patient reactions to interventions and determines the necessity for additional interventions to meet specified care goals.
- Works jointly with an interdisciplinary care team to ensure comprehensive care planning.
- Carries out additional tasks as instructed.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:
- Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
- BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
