Job Description
Under the guidance of the Registered Nurse, the Nursing Technician Plus 3 role involves the documentation of patient conditions and the provision of help with daily living activities and mobility exercises for patients as required.
Essential Job Function:
- Supports individuals in completing everyday activities, including meal provision, personal grooming, and gradual improvement in physical mobility to facilitate their recovery and care regimen.
- Evaluates the impact of nutrition, hydration, and waste elimination on patients' overall quality of life to better allocate resources and anticipate their future requirements.
- Coordinates the transitioning of patients to specific locations as part of their planned healthcare journey.
- Supports patients by fulfilling their elimination requirements, which may involve ostomy management, administering enemas, and utilizing condom catheters to ensure their well-being.
- Contributes to the maintenance of unit supplies and equipment inventory to ensure a safe and clean environment as outlined by the National Patient Safety Goals.
- Checking that patients at risk of falls are outfitted with the suitable armbands, socks, and markers to uphold their physical security.
- Performs tasks beyond the regular scope of work.
Education:
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- Required: 6 months of related experience.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider; Nurse Aide Certification required.
