Job Description
Overview:
The Telehealth LPN/ CMA plays a crucial role in hospitals by carrying out both clinical and administrative tasks. Operating with some supervision, this position entails handling clinical responsibilities, keeping tabs on medical records, aiding in procedures, and furnishing doctors and nurses with patient details. The primary expertise of this role lies in delivering telehealth services within the healthcare setting.
Responsibilities:
Carries out clinical responsibilities with the supervision of healthcare professionals on a virtual Telehealth system, collecting data on the patient's wellbeing and signs of illness.
Evaluates patient's symptoms and recommends appropriate courses of action for addressing health concerns, including potential prescriptions or treatment plans if necessary.
Records patient data regarding evaluations, therapies, results, and tests to uphold healthcare documentation standards set by the organization and industry regulations.
Effectively communicates with the wider CMA team through virtual means to provide timely updates on patient's status or any issues that require their intervention.
Ensures patient privacy by maintaining the confidentiality of health data and records in accordance with relevant regulations, guidelines, and organizational protocols.
Carries out additional tasks as required.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
Preferred:
- 2 years
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Required:
Licensed Practical Nurse certification or certification as a medical assistant by one of the following: American Associate of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), National Healthcareer Association (NHA), American Registry of Medical Assistants (RMA), National Healthcare Worker's Association (NHCWA), National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP), National Registry of Medical Assistants (NRMA)
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
