Job Description
Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is tasked with providing exceptional patient care and ensuring positive patient outcomes by applying nursing knowledge with compassion and efficiency. Under general supervision, this position enhances professional nursing practice by organizing patient care through the nursing process and collaborative efforts with other disciplines.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluates the needs and conditions of patients in the designated unit to ensure that each patient receives the necessary and proper nursing care.
- Analyzes patient data, incorporating medical history, diagnostic outcomes, and current condition, to construct personalized nursing care plans.
- Executes nursing practices such as medication distribution and treatments in order to furnish thorough and efficient care for patients.
- Validates the compliance and accuracy of medical records by reconciling them to meet regulatory standards and internal guidelines.
- Monitoring how patients respond to treatments and identifying any supplemental actions required to achieve specified care goals.
- Collaborates with an interdisciplinary care team to support the development of effective care strategies.
- Executes any other assigned duties accordingly.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required:
Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred:
1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required:
Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
