Job Description
Responsibilities of the Research Financial Coordinator include overseeing Research Accounts Payable, managing Accounts Receivable, and conducting analytical and financial reporting tasks in the Office of Research.
Essential Job Function:
- Coordinates with research teams to ensure that institutional fees for research are forwarded to sponsors or funders for payment.
- Monitors and documents activities that can be invoiced, encompassing costs associated with IRB scrutiny, legal examination charges, institutional administration fees, and REDCap expenses.
- Charges the research team for the services supplied by the Office of Research and forwards the charge to the sponsor for settlement.
- Ensures payment reconciliation after being moved to the appropriate cost center.
- Delivers financial analysis and reporting as necessary.
- Executes tasks given beyond regular responsibilities.
Education
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
Experience
- Required: 1 year of general accounting experience.
- Preferred: 1 year of grant finance accounting experience.
