Job Description
Working within a structured framework, the Registered Nurse (RN) administers excellent patient care and guarantees successful patient results by applying nursing knowledge with empathy and effectiveness. Operating under broad supervision, this position advocates for professional nursing principles by arranging patient care through the nursing process and teamwork among diverse specialties.
Essential Job Function:
- Assesses patient conditions and requirements to provide nursing services in the assigned unit, ensuring that every patient is given the direct and appropriate care they need.
- Scrutinizes patient information, such as medical history, test results, and current condition, to develop unique nursing care plans.
- Develops nursing activities like giving medications and treatments to offer comprehensive and impactful patient care.
- Matches medical records for accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards and internal guidelines.
- Evaluating patient responses to interventions and identifying any further interventions needed to meet defined care targets.
- Engages with a care team from various disciplines to optimize care planning for patients.
- Carries out supplemental tasks as required.
Education
- Required: Associate's Degree in NursingPreferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Experience
- Required: 1 year as a Registered NursePreferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required:Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact stateBLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
