Job Description
Overview:
A Registered Nurse (RN) is tasked with delivering exceptional patient care and achieving positive patient outcomes by utilizing nursing expertise with compassion and proficiency. Working under general supervision, this position enhances professional nursing standards by coordinating patient care through the nursing process and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities:
- Examines patient needs and health conditions in the designated unit to administer nursing care proficiently and ensure all patients receive appropriate attention.
- Looks into patient information, like medical history, diagnostic outcomes, and present condition, to craft individualized nursing care plans.
- Plans nursing routines, such as giving medication and treatments, to provide thorough and efficient patient assistance.
- Validates medical records to ensure they meet compliance standards and organizational regulations.
- Reviews how patients respond to implemented interventions and recognizes the need for further actions to meet specified care outcomes.
- Teams up with an interdisciplinary care team to ensure cohesive care planning.
- Undertakes any other tasks as directed.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:
- Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
- BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
