Job Description
The main responsibility of the Registered Nurse (RN) is to provide excellent patient care and ensure positive patient outcomes by utilizing nursing knowledge effectively and compassionately. This role involves coordinating patient care through the nursing process and collaboration with different healthcare professionals while working under general supervision.
Essential Job Function:
- Examines patient requirements and health conditions within the designated unit to administer nursing care, with the goal of ensuring that each patient receives the necessary and appropriate attention.
- Assesses patient details, inclusive of medical history, diagnostic outcomes, and present health condition, to design individualized nursing care plans.
- Coordinates nursing steps, like administering medications and interventions to provide inclusive and impactful patient care.
- Checks medical records for accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies to reconcile discrepancies.
- Observes patient responses to interventions and determines the need for additional interventions to meet specific care goals.
- Joins forces with a varied care team to facilitate impactful care plan creation.
- Executes other assigned tasks.
Education
- Required: Associate's Degree in NursingPreferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Experience
- Required: 1 year as a Registered NursePreferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required:Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact stateBLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
