Job Overview The Student CT/MR Technologist is responsible for adhering to professional and regulatory standards and exhibiting sound decision-making skills while being supervised by a licensed CT/MR Technologist. This position involves delivering exceptional patient care during CT/MR procedures by following approved protocols and established workflows. Operating CT/MR equipment is a critical aspect of the Student CT/MR Technologist's role, impacting the accuracy and efficiency of diagnostic imaging processes. Furthermore, this role supports the provision of high-quality patient care and diagnostic imaging services and facilitates practical learning opportunities under the guidance of an experienced CT/MR Technologist.
Essential Job Function:
- Offers aid in patient transfer as required to facilitate a smooth and productive patient circulation throughout the imaging unit, emphasizing the importance of patient well-being and security.
- Enabling the conclusion of examinations and paperwork in the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) plays a vital role in preserving precise and all-inclusive documentation that can be conveniently accessed and evaluated by radiologists and other medical staff.
- Exhibits a strong commitment to maintaining a safe environment through the consistent application of established guidelines to prevent incidents and promote the safety of both patients and colleagues, alongside actively seeking opportunities for further education and skill enhancement.
- Aids in carrying out standard and specialized CT/MR procedures according to set guidelines, decreasing the requirement for duplicate tests and ensuring timely and precise diagnostic imaging findings crucial for healthcare practitioners to establish informed decisions.
- Displays a firm dedication to personal advancement and improvement, taking part in annual competency assessments as required to uphold and strengthen the abilities needed for offering excellent CT/MR imaging services.
- Carries out supplementary responsibilities as directed.
Education:
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Required: 0 - 1 year
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
