Job Description
Overview:
The RN is responsible for providing excellent patient care and achieving positive patient outcomes by applying nursing knowledge in an empathetic and efficient manner. The role involves coordinating patient care through the nursing process and working closely with other healthcare professionals to promote professional nursing practice.
Responsibilities:
Reviews the medical charts and current condition of every patient in the assigned unit to offer the required nursing care that is necessary to enhance their overall health and recovery.
Development of personalized nursing care plans calls for comprehensive review and examination of the patient's medical history, diagnostic data, and present health situation.
To guarantee comprehensive and effective healthcare delivery, nursing procedures such as medication administration and therapy preparations must be done accurately.
Maintains healthcare records accuracy by reconciling them in line with organizational policies and regulations.
Observes patient's reaction to therapies and pinpoints any additional interventions needed to meet specified care goals.
By working closely with interdisciplinary care teams, efficient care planning is achieved.
Carries out further responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- 1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred:
- 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Required:
Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
