Overview:
The Nursing Technician I supports the Registered Nurse by monitoring and recording patient states. Operating under direct guidance, this position helps in patient care by promoting movement and aiding with daily activities as necessary.
Responsibilities:
Assists individuals in their daily activities such as meal preparation, hygiene routines, and helping them move gradually to aid in their rehabilitation process and care strategy.
Evaluates the well-being of individuals concerning their dietary intake, fluid intake, and waste management to allocate support and predict future requirements.
Manages the admission, transfer, and release of patients accordingly to ensure they are placed in suitable settings following the care plan.
Supports with medical processes, such as checking blood sugar levels, documenting essential signs, taking electrocardiograms, implementing limitations, and addressing excretory requirements to ensure patient comfort during care.
Assists in managing unit stock of supplies and medical devices to uphold a hygienic and secure setting according to the National Patient Safety Goals.
Ensures that patients at risk of falling are equipped with the necessary wristbands, socks, and signs to promote physical safety.
Helps in recording every clinical process, patient engagements, and drug administration to uphold a comprehensive patient record.
Responding quickly to assignments from the nursing team and communicating patient findings to promote effective teamwork.
Executes additional tasks as required.

Required:
Certification required by State of North Carolina DHHR. Nurse Aide Certification required. BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
