Job Description
Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering excellent patient care and achieving favorable patient results by applying nursing expertise with compassion and efficacy. This role operates under broad supervision and advances professional nursing standards by organizing patient care through the nursing process and interdisciplinary teamwork.
Responsibilities:
- Assesses patient needs and health conditions within the designated area to provide personalized nursing care aimed at meeting individual requirements effectively.
- Studies patient information, including medical records, test results, and current state, to design individualized nursing care plans.
- Performs nursing protocols, including giving medication and therapies to offer thorough and efficient patient support.
- Confirms the accuracy and alignment with regulations of medical records by reconciling them in accordance with organizational policies.
- Analyzing patient responses to interventions and pinpointing any further interventions needed to meet the established care objectives.
- Partners with a cross-functional care team to ensure cohesive care planning.
- Undertakes supplementary tasks as directed.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required:
Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred:
1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required:
Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
