Overview:
The Behavioral Health Therapist at the Clinic offers counseling and support services to individuals and families coping with mental health challenges, substance abuse issues, as well as emotional and physical stress manifestations. Their responsibilities involve aiding in the identification, understanding, and resolution of these issues. Within a structured environment, this professional evaluates social and psychological factors, develops and executes intervention strategies, and coordinates therapeutic interventions to facilitate the healing process for clients experiencing behavioral health difficulties.

Responsibilities:
Carries out psychosocial evaluations to gain a deeper insight into a patient's condition, disease, or therapy by delving into emotional, societal, and situational influences.
Designs and executes plans for behavioral health interventions aimed at assisting patients in achieving their highest level of functioning.
Keeps abreast of and builds connections with local health and social organizations to enhance the range of behavioral health offerings accessible to individuals through cooperation or recommendation.
The patient and their family receive guidance on the procedures and choices available for behavioral health treatment, fostering assurance and supporting sustained healing post discharge.
Records patient care and treatment outcomes promptly and accurately in medical documentation to track progress in the healing journey.
Represents patient's interests while dealing with possible ethical dilemmas or other risks during the delivery of care.
Utilizes their expertise to assess the performance of less experienced coworkers and offer support when needed.
Carries out additional tasks as needed or instructed.
