In the position of a Health Fitness Specialist, one is tasked with delivering fitness programs, educational resources, and professional knowledge to aid individuals in improving their overall physical wellness. Within this role, which operates with supervision at a general level, responsibilities include acting as a health consultant, personal trainer, and leader of group fitness sessions, as well as contributing to program planning and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Provides guidance on the correct form during workouts and offers alternative exercises for clients with limitations.
- Accurately tracks heart rate, blood pressure, and blood sugar levels as necessary to guarantee the safety of all individuals involved.
- Runs group exercise classes and supports participants in maintaining their personalized exercise regimens.
- Administers exercise tests and analyzes the results to design a bespoke exercise prescription and pinpoint fitness aspirations for clients.
- Supports clients in adopting healthier choices and employs health coaching techniques to facilitate behavior adjustments effectively.
- Takes part in ventures, distinct tasks, and teams within the Wellness sector to support expansion and optimized performance.
- Undertakes supplementary duties as required.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor's Degree
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 3 years of related experience
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:
Personal Training Certification, such as ACSM, NASM AFAA, or other NCCA; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
