Job Description
Within the role of a Registered Nurse (RN), delivering superior patient care and achieving favorable patient outcomes is paramount through the effective and compassionate application of nursing knowledge. Operating under general direction, this position fosters professional nursing practice by coordinating patient care through the nursing process and collaborative efforts among various disciplines.
Essential Job Function:
- Reviews patient necessities and statuses to provide nursing support within the assigned unit, ensuring each patient receives the appropriate and personalized care.
- Reviews patient details, which consist of medical background, diagnostic findings, and present health status, to establish tailored nursing care plans.
- Coordinates nursing interventions such as medication administration and treatments to ensure comprehensive and efficient patient care.
- Ensures that medical records align with regulatory standards and organizational policies to maintain compliance.
- Assessing patient responses to treatments and identifying any additional interventions necessary to reach defined care goals.
- Works alongside a diverse care team to ensure thorough planning for patient care.
- Executes extra duties as needed.
Education
- Required: Associate's Degree in NursingPreferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Experience
- Required: 1 year as a Registered NursePreferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required:Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact stateBLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
