Job Description
The primary duty of the Instructional Designer Intermediate is to oversee the development and implementation of software training initiatives managed by the Information & Technology Services (ITS) department. This role operates with limited supervision to craft training strategies, generate educational content, set up software training environments, manage and deliver training sessions, and handle support tickets and inquiries as they arise. Collaboration and communication with various organizational stakeholders are essential components of this role to enhance the performance and efficiency of individuals and the organization as a whole.
Essential Job Function:
- Responsible for establishing and rolling out the software training regimen for the relevant Epic application(s) and other ITS software. Modifies and produces the course materials and support documentation for all job functions, while partnering with management and analysts to ascertain the most effective tactics for creating the training program and educating users.
- Users of the system receive instruction and support through a range of formats, including in-person training, self-paced learning modules, hands-on guidance at their workstations, periodic skill reinforcement sessions, orientation programs for new employees, continuous learning initiatives, internet-based training, and a mix of traditional and digital educational strategies.
- Oversees the arrangements for training logistics and communication, handles training requests, assesses and resolves relevant service tickets, assists with helpline queries, and interacts with stakeholders.
- Tasks include establishing, developing, adjusting, examining, and managing the software training infrastructures, collaborating with application and technical units to guarantee coherence across production and training settings.
- Involves in the process of enlisting, choosing, arranging, instructing, certifying, and continual assignment of Credentialed Trainers (CTs) for aiding in super user and end user training.
- Ensures that CT staff are prepared and properly equipped to meet the needs of particular tasks and user communities.
- Undertakes supplementary responsibilities as instructed.
Education:
- Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in relevant field.
Experience:
- Required: 2 years.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: Clinical employees must maintain licensure appropriate to clinical education and training, without lapse. For Cone HealthLink (CHL) / Epic applications, must satisfactorily complete required Epic certification testing within the timeframe specified in the Epic Certification commitment policy.
