Job Description
Overview:
A Registered Nurse (RN) Per Diem is tasked with providing excellent patient care and applying nursing knowledge to ensure effective medical care and positive patient outcomes on an as-needed basis. Working closely with oversight, this role collaborates with the healthcare team and seeks guidance from experienced medical professionals to address challenging circumstances and ensure optimal patient care throughout designated shifts.
Responsibilities:
Contributes to patient assessments, examinations, and therapies in order to deliver personalized and holistic patient care consistently.
Helps in the examination of patient data for the purpose of guiding medical decisions, treatment strategies, and interventions.
Plays a role in enforcing recommended medical interventions and treatments to maintain adherence to protocols and ensure patient safety.
Collaborates alongside the interdisciplinary healthcare team to foster efficient communication and cohesive care planning in order to enhance patient results.
Reaches out to seasoned healthcare professionals for advice and direction when faced with complex patient scenarios and challenging medical circumstances in order to ensure optimal care.
Completes tasks beyond the regular scope of work.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred:
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- 1 year as a Registered Nurse with 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Required:
Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
