Job Description
Position: Located at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, this role is salaried and exempt, with a 0.9 FTE equivalent to 36 hours per week. The schedule involves working three 12-hour shifts over the weekend, with no on-call duties
Essential Job Function:
- Conducts physical examinations on patients, examines their past medical records, and analyzes the outcomes of diagnostic tests to offer suitable medical interventions.
- Implements preventive health assessments that cater to individual patients' age, medical background, and specific health requirements in order to offer anticipatory medical services.
- Provides patients and their families with information on specialized medical conditions, treatment options, and post-care instructions.
- Keeps track of every patient's treatment details to maintain precise medical records.
- Carries out specialized medical treatments following the protocols and clinical responsibilities required in hospital environments.
- Examining and addressing clinical and systemic challenges can enhance the quality of specialty care within a hospital setting.
- Carries out additional tasks as required.
Education
- Required: Master Degree Nursing or Master Degree Physician Assistant studies. Physician Assistant employed at Cone Health prior to October 14, 2024 with a Bachelor Degree will have the Master Degree requirement waived provided they have maintained employment and PA licensure with Board Certification.
Experience
- Required: none Preferred: 3+ years
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required:Valid NC RN and Nurse Midwife or NP license OR NC PA licenseBoard Certified within 1 year of date of hire by either the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) for PA's OR the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the National Certification Corporation (NCC) for NP's OR the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) or The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB)BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare ProviderNeonatal Resuscitation Protocol (NRP) Certification required for Neonatal Advanced Practice Prov
