Overview:
The Physical Therapist II is responsible for assessing the health status of patients, creating customized therapy strategies, and executing therapeutic measures to enhance their capacity to perform daily activities. The individual in this role possesses the ability to deliver comprehensive care to patients independently and fulfill all duties related to physical therapy with limited supervision. They actively engage with colleagues from various disciplines, demonstrate assurance when treating recurrent patients, and actively support the interests of both patients and colleagues. In challenging scenarios, this role may necessitate guidance and support, and could encounter obstacles when transitioning to different practice environments.
Responsibilities:
Assesses and cares for a wide range of diagnoses and challenging patients.
Performs comprehensive assessments on patient's physical capacities, health records, and limitations in functionality in order to create customized therapy strategies.
Administers exercises and various physical therapy techniques to enhance patient's muscle strength, mobility, and flexibility.
Provides patients and their families with information on treatment strategies, at-home physical activities, and self-care methods to enhance the healing process.
Works together with team members to create and execute discharge plans and suggestions for ongoing treatment.
Observes and records the advancement of patients, the results of treatments, and reactions to actions to enable modifications in treatment strategies if necessary.
Works together with cross-functional teams from various departments to guarantee seamless patient care and comprehensive treatment results.
Executes additional tasks as required.

North Carolina license by the NCPT Board of Physical Therapy Examiners; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
