Job Description
The Program Manager plays a key role in coordinating and arranging the operational activities of a particular project within the organization, while also overseeing its day-to-day operations. This position works closely with direct supervision to define and implement key performance indicators tailored to the healthcare industry to evaluate the success of the program. Regular evaluations of patient satisfaction, healthcare outcomes, and resource management are conducted, with a focus on recognizing areas for improvement and advancement in patient care. The Program Manager is a member of the Clinical Informatics Team. It is highly preferred that the ideal candidate for this role has prior experience with Accountable Care Organizations involved in Federal regulatory programs, value-based reimbursement, EHR donation initiatives, community connect projects, and a substantial track record of managing large-scale projects, including Epic certifications. Additional experience in ambulatory settings would be advantageous.
Essential Job Function:
- Assists in the formulation of strategic plans for new healthcare initiatives, ensuring they are in line with the organization's objective of offering top-notch patient care, enhancing health outcomes, and broadening service options to cater to patient demands.
- Backs up program employees, such as doctors, nurses, and office staff, to cultivate a united and driven group that works together to introduce new medical therapies, patient care procedures, and administrative enhancements at specific locations.
- Develops program financial plans, ensuring effective distribution of funds for essential needs like acquiring medical equipment, training staff members, and implementing outreach efforts to engage patients, all the while regularly monitoring fiscal health to achieve program objectives and uphold efficiency in spending.
- Develops and nurtures robust connections with both internal and external partners, such as healthcare professionals spanning different disciplines, heads of hospital departments, community figureheads, and financial backers, to establish collaborations that bolster the expansion of the healthcare institution and enhance the well-being of patients.
- Manages the effective implementation of healthcare schemes, which might encompass activities like public health assessments, patient learning sessions, illness supervision projects, and medical investigations, all the while guaranteeing rigorous compliance with healthcare guidelines, safety measures, and moral principles.
- Regular reports are given to top management, detailing the progress of programs, achievements, hurdles faced, and possible remedies. The impact of programs is communicated to both internal stakeholders like medical personnel and department heads, as well as external stakeholders, to ensure clarity and involvement in the healthcare projects of the organization.
