Overview:
The Quality Improvement Facilitator is responsible for serving as an internal consultant to Quality leadership, hospital management, physicians and clinical and non-clinical staff in the areas of process and operations improvement, industry best practice research, performance monitoring, statistical analysis and improvement sustainment.
Responsibilities:
Supports Quality leaders with quality strategy and action plan development to address opportunities for improvement in alignment with The Joint Commission Performance Improvement Standard PI.02.01.01 and Publicly Reported Quality Outcomes Programs.
Facilitates teams to reach an outcome and uses effective interpersonal and group facilitation skills to assign accountability and deal with group conflict.
Interfaces with executive and department leaders to help identify opportunities for improvement, organize resources, selects and implements the appropriate improvement methodology and ensure projects are conducted successfully.
Design data collection methods, gather relevant data, analyze results, and interpret findings to inform and improve.
Serves as internal coach to leaders and team members to achieve assigned improvement-focused tasks.
Helps train colleagues in process improvement techniques and tools (Six Sigma, IHI QI, RCA, PDCA cycles).
Works closely with Quality/Reporting resources to identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement, i.e., a data-driven approach to process improvement in both clinical and operational areas.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor's Degree
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 3 years required; Quality or process improvement experience; preferably hospital or health system related.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Six Sigma Certification
