Overview:
The Quality Performance Specialist plays a key role in aiding THN by helping with evaluations, gathering and analyzing data, making suggestions, executing projects, summarizing results, and assessing programs linked to quality. This position contributes to creating educational resources concerning necessary quality criteria for all THN entities under contract within THN practices, acting as the resident expert, and works alongside THN practices to enhance quality performance.
Responsibilities:
Establish and implement educational programs aimed at enhancing knowledge, comprehension, and recognition of health-related topics and essential quality standards.
Conduct evaluations of established quality standards and supplementary reports required by contracted parties to pinpoint patterns and potential areas for improvement.
Collaborates with IT and analytics departments to enhance processes, instruments, clinical decision support systems, and data collection methods for quality assessment.
Utilize quality improvement methodologies like the Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycle, Six Sigma, or Lean for driving improvement initiatives. Offer educational programs and training focused on value-based healthcare concepts, technological advancements, clinical quality indicators, and strategies for enhancing processes.
Key discoveries, performance metrics, and general network efficiency will be presented in leadership and practice meetings held monthly, quarterly, bi-monthly, and annually.
Take the lead or offer assistance on initiatives aimed at enhancing quality measures that are in line with the organization's focal areas and objectives for value-driven healthcare.
Carries out additional tasks as required.
