Job Description

Overview:

The Registered Nurse (RN) Per Diem delivers high-quality patient care and applies nursing expertise to guarantee effective medical care and positive patient outcomes on an as-needed basis. While under supervision, this position collaborates with the healthcare team and consults senior medical professionals to handle difficult situations and ensure optimal patient care during designated daily shifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in conducting patient evaluations, assessments, and treatments to facilitate detailed and individualized patient care on a daily basis.
  • Supports the scrutiny of patient data to steer medical decisions, treatment plans, and intervention strategies.
  • Assists in the enforcement of recommended medical interventions and treatments to uphold protocols and improve patient safety measures.
  • Facilitates effective communication and care coordination among interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Consults with senior healthcare experts on complex patient cases and challenging medical scenarios to uphold high standards of patient care.
  • Carries out additional responsibilities as designated.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing

Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

EXPERIENCE:

Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse

Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:

  • Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
  • BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
