Job Description
In the role of Registered Nurse (RN), it is essential to provide high-quality patient care and secure positive patient outcomes through the empathetic and effective application of nursing knowledge. Working under general supervision, this position advances professional nursing practice by organizing patient care through the nursing process and collaboration with various healthcare professionals.
Essential Job Function:
- Reviews patient requirements and conditions in the assigned unit to deliver nursing care that is attentive and caters to the distinct needs of each patient.
- Analyzes patient records, which may include medical history, diagnostic results, and current health condition, to develop individualized nursing care strategies.
- Carries out nursing responsibilities, such as dispensing medications and implementing treatments, to ensure thorough and successful patient care.
- Authenticates the precision and adherence to regulations in medical records through reconciliation efforts.
- Reviews the patient's reaction to treatments and identifies any additional interventions necessary to achieve the defined care goals.
- Collaborates with professionals from different disciplines to develop tailored care plans.
- Carries out other tasks as assigned.
Education
- Required: Associate's Degree in NursingPreferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Experience
- Required: 1 year as a Registered NursePreferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required:Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact stateBLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
