Job Description
Overview:
Carrying out various vascular and diagnostic ultrasound exams is the primary duty of this job. To maintain a cost-effective and patient-centered service, the post-holder must collaborate closely with Radiology leadership, Maternal Fetal Care (MFM), radiologists, and healthcare professionals. Providing compassionate healthcare to patients undergoing Ultrasound procedures using approved workflows and procedural protocols is the technologist's responsibility. A thorough understanding of ultrasound machinery is required of technologists in this position.
Responsibilities:
Consistently conducts routine and specialized examinations in adherence to established protocols, thereby reducing the likelihood of having to repeat examinations. Achieving productivity benchmarks during exams.
Ensures consistent completion of exam and documentation requirements in CHL and PACS. Precisely reports all charges associated with the studies. Resolves inconsistencies and errors related to the final product delivered to PACS.
Exhibits an unrelenting commitment to safety practices and Just Culture. Utilizes Two for Two method for accurate patient identification, adheres to protocols to prevent laterality errors and falls, and implements ALARA principles to reduce radiation exposure. Meets all annual competency requirements within the appropriate timeframe.
AIDET, service excellence, and service recovery are three crucial components of providing exemplary customer service in any industry.
Helps patients to move around according to their needs.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent, Required
Graduate of an accredited Radiology, Imaging or related educational program and/or accredited ultrasound program required.
EXPERIENCE:
0-1, Healthcare - Ultrasound Technologist, Required
1years as a Healthcare Ultrasound Technologist to include abdominal and vascular preferred.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by ARDMS or Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) by CCI and Registered Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist by ARDMS or Registered Ultrasound Technologist by ARRT RT(S).
