Job Description
The primary responsibility of the Mobility Specialist is to help ensure safe patient care by prioritizing mobility and working in conjunction with other healthcare team members. This role involves assisting patients with mobility tasks and observing their physiological condition to deliver exceptional customer care.
Essential Job Function:
- Helps patients with various mobility activities such as transitioning to and from bed, moving between locations, and walking to promote their care plan and physical movement.
- Keeps track of and logs bodily transformations in patients to communicate with the nurse and adapt tasks accordingly.
- Aiding in the establishment of a robust mobility scheme through cooperation with the nursing and rehabilitation staff.
- Reports logistical challenges concerning equipment and repairs to maintain functionality and timely healthcare services.
- Uses clear communication with patients and families to convey information and improve overall customer happiness.
- Completes tasks that are delegated.
Education:
- Required: Bachelors in Exercise-related degree.
Experience:
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
