Job Description
Overview:
The pivotal role of a Registered Nurse (RN) centers on providing excellent patient care and securing positive patient outcomes through the proficient and compassionate utilization of nursing expertise. With oversight from superiors, this position fosters professional nursing practices by organizing patient care through the nursing process and collaborative efforts among various healthcare teams.
Responsibilities:
- Assesses patient demands and health statuses in the assigned department to ensure the provision of specific nursing care for each individual.
- Scrutinizes patient data, encompassing medical background, diagnostic outcomes, and existing health status, to formulate personalized nursing care programs.
- Verifies the compliance and accuracy of medical records with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Evaluates the response of patients to interventions and identifies any extra steps required to accomplish the defined care goals.
- Engages with various healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans.
- Carries out additional tasks as required.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse
Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:
- Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
- BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
