Job Description
In this position, the data scientist will utilize applied data science tools and techniques to uncover insights that benefit both the business and clinical aspects of the organization. Essential Job Function:
- Employs machine learning algorithms to sift through claims and care delivery data in order to identify novel patterns, with the goal of comprehending how the organization functions and the characteristics of the populations it supports.
- Constructs predictive algorithms to anticipate clinical and financial consequences and community actions.
- Creates simulation models to analyze the variety of potential consequences for strategic and tactical suggestions, and to ascertain the sensitivity to associated business drivers, in advance of implementation.
- Displays a keen eye for detail and a proactive attitude towards detecting inaccuracies in data or assessments, as well as discerning the requirement for supplementary analysis following the initial task.
- Utilizes a mix of statistical analysis, predictive modeling, simulation modeling, or other quantitative methods to uncover novel understandings of the determinants of clinical risks and financial efficacy.
- Prepares reports tailored to customer requirements, supplying a contextual view for data-driven analysis and suggestions, with a moderate skill level necessary.
- Provides mentorship in the utilization of tools and methodologies in data science for personnel at the Data Scientist rank.
- Executes tasks as delegated by superiors.
Education:
- Required: Bachelor's Degree
