Job Description

Overview:

The LPN Hospital role in a healthcare facility is to assist the Registered Nurse or healthcare provider in furnishing quality patient care. This position operates with close supervision to design and carry out care plans tailored to the hospital's requirements and to organize equipment for procedures within the hospital systems of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Patient history and medical information collection is essential in supporting the care team and ensuring complete case documentation in hospital medical records.
  • Helps with establishing and putting into action care schedules as directed by a Registered Nurse or healthcare provider for the benefit of patients receiving treatment in a hospital setting.
  • Ensures compliance with Cone Health's sterile environment regulations through the implementation of appropriate techniques and safety measures.
  • Delivers healthcare instructions to patients and families, ensuring the information is comprehensible for the care plan.
  • Supports in handling emergencies and minimizing safety hazards by wearing appropriate protective equipment and following hospital procedures to prevent harm to patients.
  • Expected to fulfill any other assigned obligations.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION:Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent; Diploma in Practical Nursing; Completion of Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) required within 4 years of hire.

EXPERIENCE:Required:

None; New LPN Graduates must be accepted into the Cone Health LPN Academy

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:

Current LPN license in North Carolina; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
