Job Description

Overview:

Within the hospital setting, the LPN Hospital provides valuable support to the Registered Nurse or healthcare practitioner to maintain the quality of care for patients. This role involves meticulous supervision and entails the development and implementation of hospital-focused care plans, as well as the preparation of equipment for procedures throughout the hospital's operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Helps the healthcare team by obtaining patient health background and medical details to ensure accurate case notes in hospital medical files.
  • Helps in formulating and putting into action care blueprints as directed by the Registered Nurse or healthcare practitioner in order to meet the necessities of patients undergoing treatment at a hospital.
  • Verifies compliance with Cone Health policies on sterile environments by ensuring proper techniques and safety measures are adopted.
  • Conveys healthcare instructions to patients and families to ensure the clear transmission of information for the treatment plan.
  • Reacting to emergencies and safety hazards involves the utilization of personal protective equipment and adherence to hospital safety guidelines to prevent harm to patients.
  • Undertakes assorted assignments as directed.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

Required:High School Diploma or equivalent; Diploma in Practical Nursing; Completion of Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) required within 4 years of hire.

EXPERIENCE:

Required:None; New LPN Graduates must be accepted into the Cone Health LPN Academy

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:

Required:Current LPN license in North Carolina; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
