Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and achieving positive patient outcomes through the proficient and compassionate application of nursing expertise. Operating under general supervision, this position works towards enhancing professional nursing standards by organizing patient care through the nursing process and collaboration with different departments.
Essential Job Function
- Assesses the healthcare needs and current medical conditions of patients in the designated area to provide targeted nursing care that meets each patient’s unique requirements.
- Analyzes patient data, which encompasses medical history, test findings, and current condition, to design individualized nursing care strategies.
- Organizes nursing systems that involve medication delivery and interventions to provide comprehensive and efficient patient assistance.
- Affirms the accuracy of medical records to comply with regulatory standards and internal protocols.
- Monitors patient responses to interventions and identifies any additional interventions needed to achieve specified care goals.
- Works jointly with interdisciplinary care providers to organize effective care plans.
- Undertakes any other duties as directed.
Education
- Required: Associate's Degree in NursingPreferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Experience
- Required: 1 year as a Registered NursePreferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
Licensure/Certification/Listing
- Required:Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact stateBLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
